Hello!

I am trying to get into the swing of posting things here. I want to share a story...or a family tradition. For what feels like forever, I have always made Christmas cookie tins for each of my siblings  family. I had a huge variety I would bake because everyone had their favorites. I would always make an agreement with my Dad, I'll make the the spritz cookie cutouts if you help me frost them. They were one of his favorites and still are.

When all the varieties were baked I then had the task of filling the large cookie tins I bought. Here lied the issue...I had to make sure there was plenty of everyone's favorites in the cookie tin. Not all the tins were the same because some people liked certain cookies more than others. I thought about every Sister, Brother, Mom, Dad, Niece or Nephew as I was filling the tin with all of their favorites.

My favorite part was giving everyone their tins at our annual Christmas Eve celebration. I started this tradition when I was pretty young and still in school. I found out after some time that my Brother and Sisters used this cookie tin as a sort of breakfast, savoring their favorite sweets as they opened each others gifts Christmas morning.
